Job Summary: The Graphic Design Intern will take direction from the Selectron’s solutions, marketing, and executive leadership teams to contribute artwork and graphic design for the company’s printed marketing materials, giveaways, internal events, corporate website, and more. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, consistency, and is dedicated to taking projects from concept to finish line. This position is an on-site, seasonal, hourly, in-person role. Expected hours are somewhat flexible and will total not more than about 24/wk for a duration of 8-12 weeks.

 

Supervisory and reporting Responsibilities: The Graphic Design Intern will report to the Director of Solutions.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Company logo and asset management, including (but not necessarily limited to):
    • Providing correct logo assets for various internal projects, upon request
    • Logo alteration (within brand guidelines) including size, color, etc.
    • Championing brand and logo usage across the organization
  • Maintenance of brand standard and style guides
  • Branding and giveaway design for internal events
  • Branding and design for corporate letterhead and business cards
  • Creation of end-user marketing (e.g. brochures, trifolds) for Selectron’s customers
  • Graphic design for wide variety of internal printed materials (brochures, case studies, etc.)
  • Creation of miscellaneous designs as needed by the organization including standalone graphics, email templates, event templates, newsletter and calendar graphics and some ready-for-print materials as needed
  • Graphic design for corporate website
  • Assisting with physically prepping materials for shipment and/or tradeshows
  • Responsibilities may include working with other designers inside and outside the organization
  • Responsibilities will include production of all-new materials and working within existing templates
  • Responsibilities will include working with individuals at all levels of the company including executive level

Qualifications

  • Solid command of the foundations of design required (shape, depth, color, negative space, etc.)
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required
  • Experience with producing materials for both digital and print consumption required
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required
  • Dedication to drive projects to completion required
  • Wordpress or website content management knowledge is a plus
  • HTML/CSS or front-end web experience or knowledge is a plus
  • Working knowledge of video graphics, storyboard design is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • At least two years of college coursework completed in Graphic Design or related major
  • Proven ability to deliver timely, creative, and well-crafted work
