TITLE:                   Digital Designer
SCHEDULE:         Full-time, 32 hours per week
SALARY:               $39,852.80 - $52,632.32 DOE
LOCATION:         Child Development Center, Snoqualmie, WA + Hybrid

Scope:  As a vital and integral member of the Marketing team, the Digital Designer works directly with the Development group to create visual messaging that tells the story of Encompass and maintains the integrity of the Encompass brand. Through thoughtful, on-brand print, digital design, and video production, this role will collaborate organization-wide to meet organizational branding and marketing goals.

A team-oriented mindset is key, as this role partners with all areas of the organization. Equally important is the ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise appropriate discretion and judgment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Design

  • Develops and maintains templates for print and digital marketing materials, advertisements, flyers, brochures, special event branding and promotional material.
  • Creates and designs deliverables for print and digital marketing materials as needed including annual reports, social media, special events and brand marketing campaigns.
  • Works with development and marketing teams to create branding and collateral for events.
  • Video production, including shooting, editing, and finalizing video, for social media, multimedia campaigns and special projects.
  • Works collaboratively to develop content for internal and external messaging.

Website Management

  • Updates all information and visuals posted on the Encompass website, promoting Encompass image and values, and ensuring up-to-date information on programs, classes, events, and organizational news.

Branding

  • Ensures consistent use of logo and organizational branding as set by the brand guidelines.
  • Gains an understanding of brand voice and utilizes it throughout deliverables.
  • Participates in design discussions and gives feedback during planning and strategy meetings.

Asset Management

  • Manages and maintains asset and file libraries.
  • Proficiency in photo and video editing.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate of Arts degree or certificate in a graphic design-related field
  • Publication, graphic design, and photography experience, including Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Basic HTML coding skills, strong experience with WordPress sites preferred
  • Filming and editing video using Premiere Pro
  • Proven digital content skills, shaping the visual identity of our brand across multiple digital platforms
  • Can articulate the creative thinking behind design decisions by presenting and defending creative work
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills in a PC environment
  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines while working on multiple, diverse projects under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with all areas of the organization as well as independently, taking initiative and exercising appropriate discretion and judgment
  • Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is generally conducted in an office environment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:  Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for business use.
