JOB SUMMARY

Community Housing Network provides permanent supportive housing, combining safe, affordable housing with voluntary services to support people experiencing homelessness and who are disabled by mental illness or substance use disorders. The services are designed to build independent living and tenancy skills and connect people to a full range of services, including case management, recovery treatment, health care, vocational and employment support, access to benefits, money management, daily living assistance, and social and recreational activities.

The Data Analyst is responsible for tracking, compiling, and analyzing data across the organization, and creating/maintaining various reports while ensuring data integrity.  This position is responsible for the administration of various applications.  This position also serves as the administrator of CHN’s internal file sharing site(s) containing agency information and documents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Data Management

Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.

Interpret, develop, and implement data analyses and data collection systems.

Develop QI processes (quality improvement), and other strategies that optimize efficiency, accuracy, and quality using statistical techniques.

Reporting

Extract, compile, and format data for analysis for internal and external reporting needs from a variety of data sources using professional reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, and similar technologies.

Oversee, create, update, and maintain CHN’s internal file sharing site(s) and agency forms through version control, formatting, etc. Experience managing a SharePoint platform.

Business Analysis

Elicit, analyze, and validate the business needs of stakeholders and end users through proficient verbal and written communication. Communicate data and analysis with technical and non-technical users as well as external stakeholders.

Other: Provide knowledge and guidance to support organizational initiatives related to profession; Lead, guide, and train employees, interns, and volunteers performing related work. Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested. Contribute to CHN activities as required. Actively participate as a member of CHN’s community.

Qualifications and Job Specifications

QUALIFICATIONS & JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education/Years& Type of Experience: Associates degree with a focus in database technology or data analytics. Bachelors’ degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in the data analysis, report writing, communications or similar technology fields.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Requirements:

  • Must be adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings via dashboard.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with internal and external partners
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Office, and SharePoint)
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various software and technology programs to complete work duties
  • Self-motivated and the ability to manage/prioritize time and effectively function without close supervision
  • Exceptional organization and attention to detail to produce accurate and error-free work
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar technologies preferred
  • Experience in website content management and building and managing API’s preferred.
  • Experience managing a SharePoint platform preferred
  • Experience with behavioral health claims / medical billing software (EZ Claim) preferred.
  • Business Analyst experience preferred
