The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
As the Accounting Manager, you will lead the day-to-day corporate accounting functions and revenue cycle management of The Arc and its subsidiaries. The Accounting Manager ensures accounting policies and procedures are followed across the organization with a focus on Programs, month-end close, general ledger entries, financial statement preparation, billing, and accounts receivable. Typical duties include regularly reviewing, approving, and auditing financial documents, collaborating with external firms to prepare and file tax returns, implementing corrective actions, and creating periodic financial reports.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to support The Arc’s financial strategy by partnering with the CFO on accounting related operational issues, and able to develop a diverse, nimble, and skilled accounting team. The Accounting Manager is a hands-on manager with integrity, the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous situations, and adapt as priorities shift.
