Seasonal Programs Specialist for the 2024 Spring-Summer Season 

Description

The Seasonal - Programs Specialist will assist in ensuring museum programs, events, labs, camps and all workshops are properly executed by following the procedures and safety protocols. This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
• Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
• Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
• Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
• Promote the department's vision of providing excellent service to all external and internal guests.
• Participate and assist in events as scheduled.
• Assist leadership with various aspects of educational programming.
• Help measure and assess guest feedback for the continual improvement of events, programs and workshops.
• Stay up to date regarding programs, workshops, events, etc.
• And all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A desire to support and develop additional programs, events, and workshops.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal relationship skills -- ability to interact with others across all departments and levels.
• A flexible response to last-minute adjustments is essential and the ability to adapt quickly due to cancellations or changes.
• Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio with earpiece and microphone.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Education & Experience

• Experienced and comfortable with children/youth in a supervisory manner.
• Experience in museum, attraction, hospitality, or similar industry.
• Experience in science classrooms, laboratories, or a similar industry is a plus.
