The Events Coordinator supports the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Communications, Marketing and Events Department. The Communications team maintains and elevates the public image of the DRC and its strategic priorities. The Marketing team handles the marketing, social media, and other strategic communications for the DRC. The Events department plans and executes various programs and events in the Dallas region. This coordinator supports additional departments of the DRC, as needed.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of DRC events including placing catering orders for council/task force meetings, creation of name tags, support the event registration process and coordinating room set ups.  
  • Attend and participate in event planning check in meetings to ensure successful meetings and events.
  • Support CRM data processing (Salesforce/Nimble).
  • Design, build, and deliver tailored solutions for the business using Salesforce and other connected technologies
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support within the event management software (Cvent)
  • Ability to use role-specific CRM platforms and event systems, without supervision.
  • Be a team-player and willing to assist wherever necessary.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Database and event management software experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to our members.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint).
  • Interest in learning events process and execution
  • Ability to build positive relationships with coworkers and external partners.
  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including writing and verbal presentations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
