Description

The Community to Clinical Integrations Program is a multidisciplinary system of health/non-health professionals working alongside licensed providers to offer patients increased access to quality care by creating infrastructure that eases clinical care access to the community. The CCI program aims to assess the feasibility of implementing self-testing and expanded clinical access in Tribal communities across Indian Country. The CCI program focuses on five key strategic areas: Tribal Engagement, Provider Education and Technical Assistance, Community Adaptation and Testing, Community Engagement and Assessment, and Analysis/Reporting. The purpose of this project is centered around a community-engaged/community-informed approach with SPTHB acting as the main facilitator and technical resource. The CCI Program Coordinator will collaborate with Tribal/Federal/Funding partners and stakeholders to facilitate and lead quantitative/qualitative data gathering activities and CCI trainings. The CCI Program Coordinator will coordinate the CCI program activities at the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board (SPTHB).

Qualifications

A master’s degree in public health with specialization in epidemiology or biostatistics from an accredited university, or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of three years of experience in program coordination and project management is preferred. Experience with Tribal organizations and/or not-for-profit agency is desired. Experience using a variety of computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) a must. Grant writing and management experience is desired.

Knowledge: Must be able to apply advanced reasoning skills to problem solving and use basic and advanced mathematical skills; demonstrate professional knowledge of research methods; must be able to design/collect/retrieve data, and perform analysis for the TEC manager and tribes; and advise them of implications of the data for public health policy and determine health status outcomes in order to ensure that established program standards are met. Must be able to collaborate with tribes, tribal organizations, IHS, state health departments, federal agencies and other agencies to coordinate training opportunities around cultural competences and health promotion. Must be able to provide guidance and leadership to students who are working in the public health field. Demonstrate ability to use data and prepare and review reports, tables, presentations, or publications that effectively and clearly provide an effective communication of the information. Skills: Demonstrate knowledge and skills in data collection, management, and analysis. Must have and able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; presentation skills; decision making and time management skills; excellent problem solving skills; leadership and team building skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects; self-motivation skills; work effectively under pressure; ability to build positive work relationships with internal and external customers; ability to interact professionally with the public; maintain confidentiality; and computer skills and knowledge of technical and applicable software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required. Personnel supervision and management skills necessary.
