Primary Responsibilities

Position Overview: The Sales and Marketing Specialist is the main contact for tours and inquiries for Jewish Senior Life Residences. This position is responsible for conducting tours, logging guest cards and following up on leads.  They work closely with the Resident Service Coordinators & Building Administrators.  Additionally, they assist the Director of Marketing in developing and implementing marketing strategies. As needed, they may need to work occasional nights and or weekends.   

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • First point of contact for all leasing inquiries, tours, etc. 

  • Conducts walk in tours for both Assisted and Independent properties.  

  • Inputs guest cards into Sherpa and follows up on leads.  

  • Conducts data entry for marketing reports. 

  • Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the Apartment Status Report.    

  • Identifies potential residents through marketing outreach. 

  • Responsible for the complete process of mailing community information to prospective residents, including database input and support. 

  • Attends special events/functions in a professional capacity, representing JSL. 

  • Liaison to Director of Marketing for all marketing needs. 

  • Works closely with RSC to link families during all phases including touring, assessments and move-ins. 

  • Tracks available apartments and reviews their preparedness for occupancy. 

  • Ensures compliance with all Fair Housing requirements/regulations. 

  • Works closely with environmental services to maintain high standard for units. 

  • Works as a team player along with all management.   

  • Maintain hospitable workplace; be at the ready for tours and walk-ins. 

  • Performs all other duties as assigned. 

 

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

  • Extensive understanding of geriatrics and implications of aging, community resources for the elderly, psycho-social implications of assisted living environments and case management required. Two years or more experience in residential leasing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. 

  • Exceptional customer service abilities. 

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and ability to manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.   

  • Highly professional and dependable. 

  • Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of social media platforms. 

  • The ability to work a flexible schedule is required. 

 

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 

  • 2 years' experience in both Assisted Living and Independent Living settings
