Job Description
RightNow Media is looking for a Director of Licensing to join our content team in Mckinney, TX. This person will be responsible for engaging with all the outside content creators who provide content on the RightNow Media library. This will require a person who is great at building relationships and representing RightNow Media as an ambassador to our 500 content partners. It will also require someone who is skilled in negotiation and can manage all the details that come from our partnerships and contracts with these content partners.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a few years of professional experience who is looking to gain more experience in licensing and content within a Christian media/SaaS company!
Responsibilities
Assist with various aspects of content licensing but not limited to:
- Ambassador to outside content partners
- Build relationships with new content partners
- Maintain and enhance relationships with existing content partners
- Provide coaching and feedback to content providers where we are providing any funding before production begins (what we call executive produced projects)
- Negotiate the financial terms of each deal or transaction
- Administer details related to the partnerships
- Execute the details of contracts with each content partner
- Perform due diligence on new content providers
- Examine data to help inform decisions regarding content negotiations
- Oversee budget related to outside content partnerships
- On-going learning
- Understand the content currently in the RightNow Media library to identify gaps that need to be filled
- Maintain a working knowledge of the Christian content landscape with the ability to identify the kind of content that would be fit into RightNow Media

Required Experience and Education
- 2+ years of work experience in a professional environment
- Familiarity with RightNow Media video content and libraries a plus
- JD degree or theological training or content production experience a plus
