Overview:

Under direction of the VP, Director of Marketing, this roles primary responsibility will be to serve as the lead for content production in our multi-channel marketing programs to drive awareness, deliver actionable methods to drive growth, and generate leads for B2C and B2B prospect acquisition as well as customer retention and growth. This person will be responsible for content creation, marketing communications, web content development, advertising and assist with marketing analytics and operations for the company. This position will partner closely with sales/production, executive, operations, and other group/division leaders to drive customer acquisition, retention, and cross-sell all with the goal of enhancing the well-being of customers, employees, the communities, and shareholders we serve. This position has the availability to work out of any of our operation locations including Greensboro, Watkinsville, Atlanta, or Savannah, there may be remote work available in the future, however you must be available to work in person at one of these specified locations. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement an accurate and timely revision and refresh of website content for all applicable website(s) locations on a regular basis. Develop and refresh where needed as our business requirements evolve.
  • Create and implement a content strategy that will address and achieve customer acquisition, retention and growth targets as determined by management; execute and monitor effectiveness of those content strategies as they relate to interaction and engagement with intended targets.
  • Develop messaging and branding content specific to the Enterprise entities. Ensure that all content conforms to and is grammatically and stylistically aligned to message and brand standards.
  • Supervise a team of at least two with respective responsibilities for graphic design and marketing automation. Serve on preestablished content review and crosscheck team to ensure content is accurate.
  • Execute a comprehensive, effective, cutting-edge, and legally compliant social media plan and implementation strategy for respective entities within the Enterprise.
  • Ideally, possess or develop a sufficient working knowledge of the banking and mortgage industries to be able to apply this knowledge to build appropriate marketing vehicles for the respective entities within the Enterprise.
  • Develop initial understanding of BankSouth Enterprise culture, departmental structure, business models, products, and differentiators; apply initial understanding along with required continuous learning and on-going knowledge development to the marketing strategies of the Enterprise.
  • Collaborate with bank enterprise leadership to support multiple lines of business, geographies, and internal initiatives, including but not limited to:
    • Retail banking
    • Cross Selling and Servicing of current customer accounts
    • Customer Retention & Growth Initiatives
    • Employee engagement
  • Work within Marketing and with other designated team members to utilize and expand our CRM tool for targeted demand generation and retention activities
  • Analyze and report on market segmentation using selected strategic levers for growth
  • Collaborate with retail banking and market leaders on internal and external events
  • Collaborate with BankSouth Mortgage and cross-enterprise teams to support cross-sell and new product development initiatives
  • Develop and deliver campaigns to targeted audiences
  • Steward corporate brand guidelines
  • Refresh and optimize website utilizing tools such as SEO and Google Analytics
  • Working with Marketing leadership, oversee and execute publicity, advertising, PPC, video production and other media initiatives
  • Orchestrate social media and associated compliance strategies
  • Design and develop analytics to support and measure success of corporate strategies, such as lead generation
  • Actively participate in and contribute to digital marketing effort including web redesign, launch and content management
  • Create and manage marketing and advertising budget and managing expenses to budget
  • Work with Graphic Designer/Marketing Assistant, including workload prioritization ensuring adherence to service level agreements
  • Manage third-party marketing consultants and suppliers, including workloads, contract negotiation, payments, and relationship management
  • Responsible for learning, understanding, and practicing required fraud prevention practice, BSA, Fair Lending and OFAC compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that BankSouth adheres to all applicable federal and state regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of all customer files & associated information
  • Comply with safekeeping procedures for sensitive documents
  • Additional tasks, as assigned

 

Key Results Areas:

  • Customer Acquisition new market growth targets as determined by business cases and leadership
  • Customer Retention and Loyalty retain customers with applicable, relevant, and helpful marketing programs that deliver value (new accounts, net new revenue growth, reduction in churn.
  • Customer Growth Optimization drive programs that increase per customer revenue through targeted, personalized cross-selling programs of all products offered within the enterprise.

Experience & Education:

A four-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business school; international degrees are also acceptable or equivalent work experience. This position requires 5-10 years of similar or related experience with in the banking industry, with working supervisory experience preferred. Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Precise attention to detail and accountability. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) environments. Prior experience with the financial industry and with marketing compliance, is required.

 

Other Requirements:

Satisfactorily complete all required compliance training and compliance with all laws and regulations that apply based on the scope of this position.

 

Interpersonal Skills:

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

 

Physical Requirements:

Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.

 

Working Conditions:

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.

 

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements:

Must be able to perform job functions independently and with limited supervision. Must work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be able to perform basic financial calculations with accuracy. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under stress of deadline, requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be capable of exercising highest level of discretion on confidential matters.
