Compliance Officer 

The Compliance Officer oversees the compliance program, functioning as an independent and objective body that identifies, reviews and makes recommendations for resolving compliance issues and concerns within the organization.  The position ensures the Board of Directors, management and employees are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies, that the organization’s policies and procedures are being followed and the behavior in the organization is consistent with the PSMC Code of Conduct.  

The Compliance Officer ensures that the compliance program addresses all of the elements required by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) - Compliance Program Guidance.  The Compliance Officer provides assistance and support to all departments by providing training related to risk assessment, risk management, auditing, monitoring techniques, current and up-coming regulation and other general compliance topics as needed.  The Compliance Officer works in coordination with the Quality Department for overlapping responsibilities in survey readiness and management of event/variance/occurrence reporting.  

May serve as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.

Qualifications

  • Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in healthcare related area. Master’s degree beneficial. A minimum of five years’ experience in a healthcare organization to include demonstrated leadership. Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, risk management and human resources procedures and regulations.  Proven ability to manage complex interdisciplinary projects. 

  • Special Skills, Licenses or Certifications: Certified in Healthcare Compliance preferred. Computer skills sufficient to utilize email, documents, spreadsheets and project management software. 

  • Compensation Range: $81,9993.60 - $126,360.00 annual, based on relevant years of experience.  

  • Starting Work Bonus: Applicants are eligible for a starting work bonus of 5%! Must be hired into a full-time position. Part-time or PRN positions are not eligible.
