American Academy (AA) is accepting resumes for Speech and Language Pathologists of all experience levels for an immediate opening at our Motsenbocker campus. The Speech and Language Pathologist at American Academy (AA) will deliver special education services and consult with special and regular education teams to provide services for mild to moderate needs students in a K-8 setting.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to the mission and philosophy of American Academy with enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity.
Uphold and model American Academy’s Manners and Character.
Provide speech language services, therapy and assistive technology to students with mild to moderate disabilities to support student achievement.
Complete eligibility educational assessment.
Develop and implement Individual Education Plans.
Work as a positive team member with other specialists and general education teachers to provide an exceptional education.
Develop and maintain a positive partnership with parents through frequent communication of progress and concerns.
Maintain positive relationships with co-workers, students, and administration.
Create and maintain clear and accurate special education records.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Professional Special Services License
Endorsement in Speech/Language
Previous experience educating students with learning disabilities
Differentiation and adaptation of instruction in all content areas
Proven ability to integrate special needs children and modify and adapt curriculum
Use of assessment data to drive instruction
Integration of technology into lessons
Reporting out and disaggregating student data and progress
Spalding literacy instruction
