Description

The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose.

As the Corporate Compliance & Legal Associate, you will provide not only administrative support to the Vice President of Corporate Compliance & Legal Counsel, but also support across a variety of compliance, contract monitoring, project coordination, and legal activities. You will track and monitor a wide variety of corporate compliance matters and support reporting and contract compliance tasks and projects. Your responsibilities would include preparing documentation for audits, contract reporting, and commercial and residential closings, as well as monitoring government contract changes, ensuring contract compliance with VSBE/MBE vendors, and assisting in the revision of The Arc’s policies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating project-based work, assisting with legal research, drafting correspondence and legal memorandums, and producing accurate reports. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in sensitive situations is a must.

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of experience supporting or working in the legal and/or corporate compliance field, though a bachelor’s degree and/or being credentialed as a paralegal is preferred. The wages are $31.25/hr and this position is eligible for periodic telework.
