IT Systems Administrator

Position Summary: The IT Systems Administrator will handle the administrative aspects of the productivity services at TCM and oversee the Service Desk, which troubleshoots and resolves all computer related issues (hardware/software) and provide end user training and assistance when required for users on both Mac and PC platforms. They will ensure that support requests are serviced in a timely fashion and will assist in addressing tickets that are escalated beyond Tier I/Tier II resolutions. This includes the responsibility of managing all procedures related to the identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user help requests, including the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of Service Desk functions, as well as documenting and managing all IT assets. The ideal candidate should be energetic, personable, and possess a strong work ethic.  This position reports to the Network Services Manager.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers.
  • Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
  • Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
  • Creating user accounts and performing access control.
  • Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
  • Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
  • Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
  • Designing and implementing efficient end-user feedback and error reporting systems.
  • Supervising and mentoring IT Helpdesk employees, as well as providing IT support.
  • Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
  • Oversee the Support Desk function
  • Provide administrative support for O365, RingCentral, Box.com, Okta and backup system.
  • Assist with the management of other systems as needed.
  • Address requests escalated beyond tier I and tier II
  • After hours work as necessary.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience with Office 365 Admin Portal
  • Experience with MS Exchange (DC)
  • Experience with OKTA or another Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Experience in creating and managing system permissions and user account
  • Experience in Virtualization technologies
  • Experience in IoT
  • Experience in cloud technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong administrative skills on Mac OS X
  • Knowledge in VOIP technology


 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
  • Applicable professional qualification, such as Microsoft, Oracle, or Cisco certification.
  • At least two years' experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • 5+ of years of progressive IT experience.
  • Extensive experience with both Mac and Windows environments.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate commitment to both quality and tight deadlines
  • Experience with basic networking.
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite desired, not required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry computers and related peripherals.
