Medical Device Project Manager

As a Medical Device Project Manager at Delve, you will manage multi-disciplinary projects from initiation through the hand-off to production. You'll establish a track record of successful delivery by using design thinking and product development best practices to direct client work. You'll use a variety of project management tools to inspire, coordinate, and manage the daily activities of your project teams. You'll participate in weekly planning meetings to support resource leveling. You'll guide the integration of work by our engineers, designers, and researchers cultivating collaboration, balancing trade-offs, and helping ensure that we create meaningful solutions to product design challenges. An ideal candidate is comfortable with both the big picture and the details, and excited about the opportunity to help Delve project teams continue to grow and improve their capabilities. This position is based in our Madison, WI office. 

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the connection point between the project team and client.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads or other senior team member to run client projects.
• Work with Technical Lead to define product requirements and track adherence to requirements.
• Identify potential change of scope issues as they arise and communicate them to the team, account management, and the client.
• Create proposals and budgets and manage schedules of internal and external support. Document all decisions, and track action items.
• Maintain responsibility for project data setup accuracy and organization for internal project management database and server.
• Regularly review project budget status with Account Manager and Technical Lead and request resources to complete project work.
• Oversee and support the planning/preparation of presentation materials, in cooperation with Technical Lead and other team members.
• Work with Technical Lead to ensure deliverables are met per client expectations and proposals.

Requirements

• 7+ years experience in Project Management, Product Management, Engineering Program Management, and/or other client-facing roles
• 5+ years work experience in medical device electromechanical product development
• Proven track record in medical device development with a strong understanding of ISO-13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971 and IEC 60601
• Well-versed and knowledgeable about MS Excel, MS Project, and internal project management systems
• Familiarity with and/or interest in consulting environments and how they work

• You are an excellent communicator with exemplary writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills all needed for interaction with clients, participants, and internal teams.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, because sometimes that leads to the most unique, unexpected design solutions.
