JOB SUMMARY:  This position is responsible for overseeing Deposit Collections, BSA monitoring, verifying wires, charging annual dormant service charges, as well as back up all other team members in the department. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for managing collections regarding deposits, oil and gas drafts or leases and fraud suspect items.  Upon receipt of these items responsible to process for collection from other institutions. Upon payment, credit or debit customers account and retain a log of collection transactions.
  • Provide support and back up to other team members in the department as needed.
  • Review and input information on spreadsheets for BSA monitoring of high risk accounts, monthly, quarterly and annually, to include monitoring of cash transactions, ACH and wires.
  • Review cash detail report for large cash transactions and enter into an Excel spreadsheet for review of suspicious activity.
  • Review and monitor privately owned ATM’s, cash in and out on accounts and send letters as needed.
  • Review reports for kiting suspects and adding messages as needed.
  • Reviewing, preparing and submitting Currency Transaction Reports
  • Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards
  • Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and customers
  • Follow the directions of the supervisor

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other duties and projects as required by management.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bookkeeping, clerical experience including filing, letter writing, etc.
  • Proficient computer, 10-Key and typing skills.
  • Dependable, trustworthy and willing to work as a member of a team while producing thorough and accurate work.
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instruction
  • Ability to use 10-key adding machine by touch.
  • Strong proficiency in PC applications, including Windows Applications, MS Word Excel, AS400.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with a wide range of people including all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This work is primarily sedentary and requires the following physical activities:

  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment.
