Job Functions:

Develops PLC and HMI code based on department standards

Adapts standard PLC code to new applications

Debug and Troubleshoot PLC based control systems at customer sites

Control system testing and commissioning
-
Coordinate PLC program with control system and mechanical design

Provide world-class customer service to all customers

Ability to work on multiple projects or tasks at the same time

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Travel to job sites as required to aid in system commissioning efforts

Provide on-site customer training
-
Provide input to product development reviews to increase ease of maintenance and reduce field failures
-
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring equipment and apparatuses using hand and power tools
-
Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with the applicable codes
Qualifications:
Required
-
Electrical troubleshooting experience
-
Willingness to travel up to 30%
-
Ability to write and troubleshoot PLC code (Ladder Logic and Structured Text)
-
Proficient with Rockwell programming software and hardware including Logix500, Logix5000 and Panelview
-
Knowledge of PLCs, Industrial Ethernet, DeviceNet, Motor Control and VFD Drives, Relays and Sensors
-
Ability to use hand and power tools, multimeters and/or oscilloscopes
-
Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams/schematics
-
Capable of safe climbing, and working in structures up to 150 ft.

Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic automation systems
-
Microsoft Office (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word)
Desired

Four Year Engineering Degree (Electrical or Computer Engineering)

CAD Software EPlan and AutoCAD
-
Working knowledge of the German and/or Spanish language
Machines/Tools/Equipment:
All computer and networking-related equipment are provided to employees for use in performing their necessary tasks. Candidate must have own hand tools. Company provided PPE for freezer work and fall protection.

Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and active manner.

Must possess visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens

Work hours occasionally include weekends and evenings for commissioning trips
-
Working environment temperatures range from -40 degrees F to +110 degrees F
-
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
-
Ability to position oneself by stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in and around machinery during system commissioning
-
Must be able to ascend and descend a fixed vertical ladder, up to 30 high, 10% of the time during system commissioning to access the SRM cabin
-
Must be fit for air travel and legally able to rent and drive a rental vehicle
