Position Summary

The Graphic Design intern will report to the Lead Designer and/or Senior Designer and will work closely with the marketing and design teams to manage tasks that support all areas of our company. Your skills will be used to create print and digital assets, social media ads, email marketing assets, and additional needs that support our school and teacher programs. 

Who you are:

• Passionate about crafting engaging designs and interested in growing as a well-rounded designer

• Comfortable giving and receiving design feedback

• Enrolled in or a graduate of a Graphic Design or Visual Communications focused program at a university or equivalent work experience

• Must have a portfolio demonstrating your abilities in design, typography, color theory and layout

Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

• Self-starter that can take basic instructions and get the work done

• Great attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be organized and detail-oriented

• Comfortable working in a small team dynamic

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus

Essential Functions: 

• Create a wide-range of creative assets using Adobe Creative Suite

• Create and maintain appropriate naming and archiving conventions

• Familiarity with Google Suite and Mac OS

Work Location:

Hybrid - Internship will be performed both remote and onsite in our Chapel Hill office candidate should live in a reasonable commuting distance. 

Hours - available hours for part-time to full-time work
