  • Manage and distribute workload within RFQ department.
  • Lead the RFQ department by supporting team members to achieve individual goals.
  • Report general status of the department to upper management.
  • Provide team with general company information, company strategy, results, outlook, etc.
  • Interface with Am-N Sales Directors in order to maintain awareness of sales strategy, current status of submitted RFQs, and upcoming RFQs.   
  • Interface with RFQ Core Team to motivate and support the RFQ process elaboration.
  • Maintain active involvement in Global RFQ projects and act as reference for local team.
  • Act as upper management reference for special, high priority RFQs.   
  • Ensure that products are quoted accurately to support development and production implementation.
  • Ensure continual improvement of quoting process for all projects.
  • Implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Provide RFQ department training to new employees and departments as requested.
  • May be asked to perform other duties at a lower level or higher level of proficiency or not related to this classification on occasion.
  • Each employee is responsible for the quality of his/her personal performance and how said performance impacts the environment, safety, and data security. This is applicable to the departments of development, production, management, logistics, and aftermarket services, as well as to contact with customers and suppliers.

  • information and updates, and should be exemplified by supervisors on every level.
  • Knowledge of customer specific requirements (CSR) necessary through advanced training, or work experience or a combination of the two.​​​​​​​


  • Strong management skills
  • Automotive and injection molding manufacturing process knowledge
  • Proficiency with computers, specifically Microsoft Office Excel
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines
  • Good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities
  • Demonstrates time management skills
  • Using logic and reasoning to offer solutions to problems
  • Teaches others new processes and procedures
  • Self-motivated and works well with others


  • Set the example by actively contributing to department and company goals.
  • Clarify expectations and seek additional training as needed.
  • Build quality into work. Ensure processes are consistent with quality objectives. Be aware of current quality levels versus target levels.
  • Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.

Work experience requirements:

  • 5 years cost calculation, project management and/or accounting experience preferred


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Accounting, Engineering, or technically related field or equivalent work experience
