General Description:
- Responsible for the supervision of all Tooling Specialists who are responsible for coordination of appropriate pre-series and series tools for compression, injection molding and punching.
- Act as point of contact for external toolmakers in the US, and oversee tooling specialists in their contact.
- Monitor design and timeline status control, coordination of sampling, and optimization, as well as approval and release of tools.
- Communicate at all levels in order to justify and effectively implement strategies.
- Support Product Development/CAD regarding tool feasibility and cost effects on the serial production.
- Create quote comparisons and oversee quote comparisons for new tools and tool modifications, continuous collaboration on design and process FMEAs, and local customer onsite visits.
- Work closely with Tooling Specialists, Designers, Sales Managers and Project Management
