General Job Description:

  • Perform and record applicable testing of incoming raw material samples (resin, paint, etc) and disposition in SAP.
  • Update and maintain material spec sheets.
  • Perform and record results of various laboratory testing as needed
  • Coordinate on site and third party calibration of gages
  • Maintain gages and gage calibration
  • Provide feedback of receiving quality issues to supplier development using SAP quality notifications
  • Program CMM for part measurements
  • Maintain CMM and related tools
  • Measure parts and analyze layout data
  • Perform Annual Layout per Customer specific requirements.
  • Support PPAP approvals from Customer.
  • Prepare and analyze MSA for gages
  • Download CAD from company and supplier websites
  • Provide CAD models for engineering changes, gages, and part modifications
  • Analyze engineering drawings and schematics for gage and part dimensioning, review, and problem resolution
  • Program part layouts in "Metrolog XG" software
  • Interpreting of GD&T and program the software accordingly
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Work experience requirements:

  • 3-5 years of related departmental experience

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum education High school diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred education Associates degree or some college or equivalent work experience preferred.
