SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for representing CCCU in a professional manner when greeting members and the general public on the phone and in-person, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate staff. Additionally, the receptionist is responsible for accurately processing financial transactions, and being an effective source of information for members in the branch. Provides friendly, professional, confidential, and effective assistance to members assuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time.

  • Greets members at they come into CCCU.
  • Determines members needs and directs them to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains awareness of lobby activity and members while keeping employees informed of status.
  • Performs designated clerical duties and maintains assigned records, files, and reports, copying, faxing, routing mail and other correspondence, receiving phone calls.
  • Supports overflow needs within the branch as needed.
  • Performs assigned transactions designated by management, including teller transactions as needed to help with branch coverage.
  • Follows guidelines and policies such as Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and Office of Foreign Assets Control, CIP, Reg CC, B, D, E and Z intended to limit risk and exposure for the organization and its members. Types of risk include fraudulent transactions, account fraud or mishandling, compliance with policies, security guidelines and the organizations reputation.
  • Applies advanced knowledge and logic to all activities and member interactions and creates solutions that are in the best interests of members.
  • Provides member service in accordance to CCCU standards.
  • Ability to attain goals as set by Management on a consistent and continual basis.
  • Presents a professional image and interacts well with the public and all levels of credit union personnel.
  • Regularly attends and participates in in-house training and various job-related meetings to keep current in position knowledge.
  • Actively participates in branch efforts, including product promotions and member outreach.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to learning and acceptance of change.
  • Performs duties as assigned by management and of any department employee and may be assigned to work at any branch.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous financial institution experience preferred but not required.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING HOURS:

    Monday 10:30am-5pm
    Tuesday 10:30am-5pm
    Wednesday 10:30am-5pm
    Thursday 10:30am-5pm
    Friday 10:30am-6pm

KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrates member service abilities.
  • Math skills
  • Computer skills - CCCU core system and associated software's, Windows and web-based systems, Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the utilization of CCCU online/mobile banking and related services.
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, policies, procedures (including Office Procedures Manual and Employee Handbook), and practices. Credit Union products, services, programs, and promotions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Knowledge of English usage, grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Ability to read, comprehend, analyze and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, safety rules, employee handbook, and operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to speak and respond effectively to employees, members, vendors, and the public.
