Policy Scope:

This policy describes what type of information we collect, how we use the information shared with us, and/or the information which may be acquired or produced by Connecticut Transportation Solutions, its affiliates, and its divisions, during the application or recruitment process.

Types of information we collect:

The following information is collected during our application and recruitment process.

• Applicant's name, address, email address, telephone number, and other contact information

• Resume or CV, cover letter, previous and/or relevant work experience, or other experience, education, transcripts, or other information provided to us in support of an application and/or the application and recruitment process

• Information from interviews and phone-screenings, if applicable

• Details of the type of employment an applicant is looking for, current and/or desired salary and other terms relating to compensation and benefits packages, willingness to relocate, and/or other job preferences

• Details of how applicants heard about our open position(s)

• Reference information and/or information received from background checks (where applicable), including information provided by third parties

• Information relating to any previous applications submitted to Connecticut Transportation Solutions and/or any previous employment history with Connecticut Transportation Solutions.

• Information from publicly available sources, including online and social media, we believe is relevant to an application or a potential future application (e.g., LinkedIn profile)

• Information related to any assessment utilized as a part of the interview screening process

  How we use the information we collect:

  All information collected by Connecticut Transportation Solutions is used for the sole purpose of carrying out our application and recruitment process. This includes:

• Assessing skills, qualifications, and interests against our career opportunities

• Verifying information and carrying out reference checks and/or conducting background checks (where applicable) if a conditional offer of employment is made

• Communications about the recruitment process and/or application(s), including, in appropriate cases, informing applicants of other potential career opportunities at Connecticut Transportation Solutions and its affiliates

• Creating and/or submitting reports as required under any local laws and/or regulations, where applicable

• Making improvements to Connecticut Transportation Solutions application and/or recruitment process including improving diversity in recruitment practices

• Complying with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests

  We will also use applicant information to protect the rights and property of Connecticut Transportation Solutions, our users, applicants, candidates, employees, or the public as required or permitted by law.

  If an applicant is offered and accepts employment with Connecticut Transportation Solutions, the information collected during the application and recruitment process will become part of their employment record.

Our retention of your information:

If you apply for a job at Connecticut Transportation Solutions and your application is unsuccessful, or you withdraw from the process, or you decline an employment offer, Connecticut Transportation Solutions will retain your information for a period after your application submission. We retain this information for various lawful reasons including, but not limited to, considering you for other current or future jobs at Connecticut Transportation Solutions, helping us better understand, analyze, and improve our recruitment processes, etc.

If you do not want us to retain your information for consideration for other roles, or want us to update it, please contact hr@ridewithcts.com Please note, however, that we will retain information required or permitted by law.

Your rights in respect of your information:

You have certain rights under data protection law. This includes the right to request access or to update or review your information, request that it be deleted or anonymized, or object to or restrict Connecticut Transportation Solutions from using your information for certain purposes.

If you wish to exercise a right of access, please contact hr@ridewithcts.com. We will respond to any requests in accordance with applicable law, meaning there may be circumstances where we are not able to comply with your request.

We will update this policy as needed. We will post any changes to this policy, identified by its effective date.
